FMCSA Punishes JBS Carriers for Extensive Falsification of HOS Logs
Posted on Nov 05, 2010
On November 5, 2010, the FMCSA ordered JBS Carriers of Greely, CO to install electronic onboard recorders on its entire fleet of commercial trucks or pay over $81,000 in fines for violations of Hours of Service Regulations and other requirements. The FMCSA cited 102 counts of falsifying HOS logs and 3 counts of allowing drivers with suspended, revoked or inappropriate licenses to drive their trucks. The action came about as a result of a 10/7/2010 settlement.
Examples like these are unfortunately becoming more and more common. If you have been injured in a crash with a large tractor-trailer truck, consult a Missouri truck accident lawyer today to see if the trucking company has a record like JBS Carriers.
