Emergency crews responded to a serious traffic collision involving fire in Jurupa Valley on March 17, 2026. The incident occurred at approximately 1:35 p.m. near the intersection of Jurupa Road and Etiwanda Avenue. Cal Fire personnel and Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene shortly after receiving reports of the crash.
Upon arrival, responders discovered a two-vehicle collision with one vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire and secure the area. Two individuals were located at the scene, both requiring immediate medical attention. One of the victims, described as a young person, sustained burn-related injuries.
An air ambulance was initially requested due to the severity of the incident. However, both victims were ultimately transported by ground ambulance for faster treatment. Authorities reported that one patient was in stable condition at the time of transport. The second victim was listed in critical condition due to the extent of their injuries.
Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash. The cause of the collision has not yet been determined.
