A tragic multi-vehicle crash in Irvine on May 26, 2026, resulted in the death of a 95-year-old woman. The collision occurred at the intersection of Irvine Center Drive and Valley Oak Drive around 9:12 a.m., according to local authorities.
Investigators reported that the elderly woman was driving a Toyota RAV4 when she entered the intersection against a red light. At the same time, a Dodge Ram and a Tesla Model 3 were proceeding through the intersection on a green light.
The woman’s vehicle collided with the Dodge Ram, and the force of the impact pushed the truck into the Tesla. Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported the woman to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, she later succumbed to her injuries.
Police confirmed that the other drivers involved in the crash were not injured. The intersection was temporarily closed as officers secured the scene and began their investigation.
Video footage showed law enforcement cordoning off the area near the Oak Creek Golf Club. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim pending notification of her family. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
