A 38-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Santa Ana on the evening of August 7, 2026. According to the Santa Ana Police Department, officers responded to the 200 block of North Harbor Boulevard at approximately 7:52 p.m. after receiving reports of a pedestrian collision. When emergency responders arrived, they found the victim lying in the roadway with significant injuries. Paramedics transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he later died despite lifesaving efforts. Investigators said the victim, a 38-year-old Santa Ana resident, was crossing Harbor Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity pending notification of his family.

Police said the driver remained at the scene following the collision and is cooperating fully with the investigation. Investigators also reported that the driver did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
