A deadly four-vehicle crash near the Tarzana-Encino border claimed one life and left multiple people injured on Sunday evening, July 5, 2026. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the collision at approximately 6:02 p.m. in the 6400 block of Lindley Avenue. Emergency crews arrived to find extensive damage involving four vehicles and began providing aid to those injured in the crash. One person was pronounced dead at the scene despite emergency response efforts.
A woman believed to be in her 30s was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, although officials have not released information about her condition. The violent collision also knocked down a utility pole, creating additional hazards for emergency responders and motorists. Telephone lines fell across the roadway after the power pole collapsed during the impact. Images from the scene showed the fallen utility pole resting across the hood of a heavily damaged black sedan.
