According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred shortly after 11 p.m. near the intersection of Hoover Street and London Street. Investigators said the pedestrian, a man believed to be in his 30s, was crossing the intersection when he was struck by a white sedan. Investigators also have not released a description of the suspect or additional details about the vehicle involved in the collision. The Los Angeles Police Department continues to search for the hit-and-run driver and is asking anyone with information to come forward. Police reminded motorists that California law requires drivers involved in a collision to stop, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves. Officials also encouraged pedestrians to use marked crosswalks, obey traffic signals, and remain alert while crossing roadways. The investigation into the East Hollywood hit-and-run remains ongoing as detectives work to identify the driver responsible for the serious collision.
