A violent crash in Pasadena on May 30, 2026, left two men seriously injured after their vehicle flew off a freeway. The incident occurred just before midnight on the westbound 210 Freeway, west of Sierra Madre Villa Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 11:55 p.m.
Preliminary reports indicate that a Jeep lost control while traveling on the freeway. Video from the scene shows the vehicle careening off the roadway and plunging approximately 50 feet below. The Jeep ultimately landed in a storm drain beneath the freeway.
Emergency responders arrived to find both occupants trapped inside the wreckage. First responders worked to extricate the men before they could be transported to a nearby hospital. One of the victims was seen being loaded into an ambulance at the scene.
Both men were reported to be in serious condition following the crash. Authorities have not released their identities at this time. Investigators are continuing to examine what led to the incident. It remains unclear whether speed, impairment, or other factors contributed to the crash.
