Multiple people were injured in a violent wrong-way crash on the westbound 210 Freeway in Lake View Terrace on the evening of July 25, 2026. According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. near the interchange with the 118 Freeway. Investigators said a Tesla was reportedly traveling the wrong way at a high rate of speed when it collided with a truck. The force of the impact caused the truck to overturn in the middle of the freeway. Moments later, a second collision involving additional vehicles occurred as traffic encountered the wreckage. A box truck caught fire following the crashes and became fully engulfed in flames before firefighters arrived. Los Angeles Fire Department crews quickly extinguished the blaze and began treating the injured victims.
Fire officials reported that four people were evaluated for treatment and transportation to local hospitals. Video from the scene showed one victim suffering severe lacerations to an arm and hand, while another injured person was loaded into an ambulance. The crashes forced the closure of most westbound lanes of the 210 Freeway for nearly five hours, causing major traffic delays throughout the area. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the wrong-way collision, including what caused the Tesla to enter the freeway in the wrong direction.
