A fatal hit-and-run crash in Sun Valley led to the arrest of a truck driver accused of killing a motorcyclist. The Los Angeles Police Department identified the suspect as 64-year-old Edvard Gyulnazaryan of Glendale. The incident occurred on May 28 around 4:20 a.m. near the intersection of Bradley Avenue and Tuxford Street.
According to investigators, Gyulnazaryan was driving a semi-truck when he made a left turn into a private property. During that maneuver, the truck collided with a motorcyclist traveling through the area. Authorities say the driver continued on without stopping to check on the victim or render aid.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist dead. The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. Hours after the crash, Gyulnazaryan returned to the scene, where he was taken into custody by police.
He was later booked at the Van Nuys jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing death. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities reminded motorists of their legal obligation to stop, provide assistance, and identify themselves after any collision.
