A violent crash in Long Beach on June 23, 2026, left two women hospitalized, several residents displaced, and a suspected DUI driver under arrest after an SUV slammed into a home. Police and firefighters responded to the scene near East Bort Street and Long Beach Boulevard just before 2 p.m. after reports of a vehicle crashing into a residence. Preliminary information suggests the driver lost control of the vehicle, crashed through a fence, and barreled into the home, causing severe structural damage.
Video from the scene showed a white Infiniti SUV lodged halfway inside the residence, with part of a wall completely destroyed from the impact. Pieces of fencing and debris were scattered across the property, showing the force of the collision. One woman was seen being taken away on a stretcher with visible facial injuries as paramedics rushed her to an ambulance. A second female victim was also transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities later confirmed that a man believed to be the driver was also taken to the hospital. Video showed him taking a breathalyzer test before he was arrested after being medically cleared. The conditions of the two female victims have not yet been released. The home was later red-tagged and deemed unsafe to occupy, displacing several residents as investigators continue working to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
